The Friends of Kingswood Park are continuing our Springswood campaign by bringing more floral displays into the Town Centre and reviving a couple more permanent beds that had been allowed to fall into disuse.
Many residents have complimented us on the beds we revived last year.
South Gloucestershire Council have cleared litter and overgrowth from permanent beds on Cecil Road, Park Road and Gilbert Road.
The Friends of Kingswood Park will take over the planting and future maintenance of these beds. We are particularly keen on reviving the bed on Cecil road as the overgrown bed gave cover for anti-social behaviour.
Our first job is to remove unwanted root material from the beds so that we can improve the soil ready for planting in May.
We will be doing this on the 17 and 19 April. This will be tough work, so if you, or anyone you know, is able to lend a hand please let us know.
Many organisations are now actively focussed on making Kingswood a great place to work, shop, live and visit.
Please help us to do our bit for the physical appearance of the Town Centre.
