The Park Centre has been established to provide resources to the local community.
The project was initially funded by South Glos Council, who worked closely with the Kingswood community to establish a resource required in the locality.
Extensive consultation highlighted a need for a facility that could be used to bring new social, educational and business opportunities to the community as a whole.
The Park Centre hosts a number of key events for various clubs and associations - see below and right for details. Why not come along and join one of these fun activities? It's a great way to meet new people.
50+ Club, Arts and Crafts, Parents and Toddlers, Slimming World, Doodle Tots (arts and crafts for pre-school children), Stop Smoking (by referral 0117 3302439)
Parents Coffee Morning and Clothes and Toys Sale, 8:30am - 10:30am in Brooks Cafe. After the school run drop into Brooks Cafe on a Wednesday morning to have a coffee and pick up a bargain. Bring your little ones and meet other local parents. For more information email: .
NEW: Gentle exercise class for those who are over 50. This session will be 45 minutes of exercise followed by refreshments and a chance to chat. Every Thursday 1pm to 2pm. £3.00 per session includes refreshments. SportsPound vouchers are valid with this activity.

Kingswood people now have their own community hub at The Park Centre, which means there’s somewhere to drop-in and find the support and community activity you need.
Community development charity, Southern Brooks Community Partnerships merged with Community Ignite as one community development charity in 2017. As a larger organisation they can now support and benefit the whole of South Gloucestershire more effectively.
Our Kingswood community hub offers a safe space for all local people to drop-in and find the support they need. This can range from dementia care, support with finding work and training, accessing volunteering, family and mental health support and so on. Our new community hub in Kingswood offers somewhere to start your journey to success.

The Park Centre has meeting rooms of various sizes for hire from £7 per hour, including a small interview room, IT suite and Arts and Crafts room, as well as meeting/training rooms.
Rooms will be set up as per your request i.e. boardroom, cabaret, horseshoe etc. and come with whiteboards, screens and flipcharts.
Other equipment available includes digital projector, laptops, Interactive whiteboard, OHP and WIFI connection.
We provide IT courses for adults: Getting Started (IT for Beginners), Internet & Email, Introduction to Spreadsheets and Using 'Word' for Work with PowerPoint.
